The Cost of Power

THE PRICE OF POWER

Every day we turn on a switch to draw electricity into an appliance or lamp.  We expect it to always be available just at the flick of the switch.  But behind that switch there is now a multi billion dollar industry who expects some form of payment every minute and every day.  Power costs money to produce and currently the world is in turmoil seeking this freely available energy known to Mankind which has now been harnessed to an industrial complex and delivered today at an unbelievable price which we view as a cost for being alive in this time.  The power to make things work just as easily as turning on a light so we expect to always see the light yet half of the world works in darkness which causes people to misunderstand others either by accident or deliberately because for some reason things are made to breakdown and sleep and at times those breakdowns cause real anxiety more than many people even feel is fair or appropriate for the conditions.  So we have formed organizations across the world with which to buy ourselves peace and light so we can lead our lives in the safest possible legal way but that’s not always satisfactory to all parties now.  So we now live in a make believe world where even couples often cannot find common ground and begin to war with each other.  And when we have countries starting a war with their neighbours we tend to stand off and make judgements as to who is in the right and who is the one who contravened the peace.  At the moment we have two very inflammatory situations in the world and President Trump has been doing what he can, with the tools he has available to bring waring parties together so that we can all live in peace.  But is that to be peace with or without light?  We have lived without anyone being able to bring peace to the world where there is no peace because someone is always too dissatisfied with the other often due to political and or religious mind sets which usually manifests in intolerance.  We have the United Nations available to help countries find ways to settle differences and live together in peace but unfortunately the United Nations as an organisation is a flawed outfit with members involved in conflicts requiring more than just a sit down and have a cup of tea.  So eventually along comes a Man who has what is known as clout which we all have somewhere tucked up our sleeve.  And today that one man is the President of the world’s most powerful Country and he can see that the United Nations is like a run away train on a broken track so he is gathering a large number of the Worlds most powerful leaders of the most smartest Country’s to form a peace seeking committee who will hold enough power to take control of those delinquent leaders those Countries are not able to get along with each other without trying to injure or fatally damage property and others.  Trump wants to use  this group today so the worlds greatest political minds can take matters in hand and resolve cross border type issues which get in the way of people working for the benefit of each other and world peace.  And here we are in New Zealand at the bottom or is it the top of the world with one of the best national experiences of helping diverse groups find common ground and often that requires just a little more than the Midas touch where the partial considerations of the United Nations always leaves one group at a distinct disadvantage leaving one or in some cases both groups either unhappy or feeling they are of lessor importance in the affairs of world peace as problems are not looked at properly and so are left simmering only to break out at some later stage because the matters that caused conflict are never understood and the United Nations has no Men with sufficient Mana and with a whip hand strong enough to make things right.  Turning to International Law is about as lame as Man can get today, as the Man with the biggest gun takes the biggest slice.  Of course we need the group of peace makers to be those Men and Women who know right from wrong and who also can understand conflict and have sufficient brain power to see both sides and make common ground if such ever exists.  The World appears to be short of that type of Man or Woman who can think for themselves without the pressure of Group Think and who are not followers of the herd but rather people of principal.  Of course we here in New Zealand are about to go into an election cycle to choose the next Government.  Our current Government have been invited to join the Peace Makers new committee and blow me down they are not just able or willing to stand their ground and help put a stake down for World Peace because they haven’t the balls and we need leaders to help with finding the rock under which intolerant people hide commonsense and their care for their own people as our Government have refused to take part in perhaps what may be the last chance of finding a brief period of world peace in this epoch and making it happen.  We obviously haven’t got the brains to do anything other than follow the herd who got us here in the first place and have no idea what to do now.   Yet the New Zealand experience is one of the world’s most enlightened group of people and so have a duty to share our experience for the benefit of Mankind.  

Taking energy from our environment and converting into electrical energy for the benefit of us all is one thing we are experienced in doing and delivering it as required is part of New Zealand’s essential infrastructure.  So in todays world the type or persons who ransack the world for personal benefit have become attracted to New Zealand to build Aluminum smelters and now the latest commercial rape is Data Centers and placing them in Auckland which is as far away from the source of energy as you can get so New Zealanders have to pay to provide transmission across the full length of the country at the cost of  every household rather than at the cost of the commercial thieves who wish to take advantage of our resources at someone else’s cost.  Of course Auckland claim to have the lifestyle that suit these greedy people who wish to cannibalise everything for their personal benefit and to hell with the damage that causes others.  So we welcome not just one but two of the greedy resource gobbling centers to Auckland where they can park their super yachts and where there is little room available to build an enlarged airport but build baby build, we do and we make everyone pay so that travel for each person becomes increasingly expensive directing everything through Auckland.  It’s no secret that now most of the Country’s senior politicians now live in Auckland and they run the Country from there even though Wellington is the Capital City and where the parliament is.  Like the USA where the White House and now Mar-a-largo is where their second center of power lies.  I would think the push to divide New Zealand in two at the Cook Strait will take a higher place in our society which will also get rid of the Diversity issues which are being driven by outside influences who arrive on our shores but only as far as beyond north of the Bombay Hills.  Of course we had an oil refinery in the north and this was destroyed to suit a the people who could get rich importing refined oil products and the result has been our roads are now built with pot holes because we are no longer refining the heavy crude required to make decent asphalt.  So New Zealand roads go back to tracks which the people 3,000 years ago used during  the Roman times where they knew how to build roads that lasted.  I wonder how long the New Zealand society can last without some intelligent politicians and decent roads or even a Railway system that meets the modern times.  Perhaps filling in the Cook Strait and converting it into a Canal  but that wouldn’t make any sense so that must be on the cards to show us just how totally unhinged our political system has become.  Of course that would make the power cost in Auckland about treble what it is where it is produced but Auckland would find a way around that as they build another Data Centre.  Of course a modern society today must expand the creation of electrical generation of which New Zealand has natural resources to do that in spades, but we haven’t the brains in our politicians to help resolve a argument which is holding the world back.  Election year is bound to lead into a societal wreck as the opposition is now proving as it is being lead by someone whose life is turning out to be shite.  And the current leader of the Government is someone who wants to join hands with the organizations which are failing the people of the World and who have allowed this situation to grow without taking things in hand.  Obviously us waiting for the return of Jesus Christ is an exercise in patience which is what we have done wrong for about 80 years, as it seems only the return of Jesus Christ is all the human race can now hope for.  Who in this Country is there who can show us some leadership with the courage  to take the reins in the meantime.  I think King Charles is a lost cause and as a Monarchist I’m ashamed that I can’t see any leadership on the horizon so at 80 I’m not sure of the next 20 years.
