WHERE ARE ALL THE CLEVER PEOPLE?

Good Evening.  
I’m being pushed to comment on all the crazy things going on in the World today and all the madness of AI generated so called twisting of the news we are being feed.  Then along came the recent floods in New Zealand and the devastation caused especially in the Nelson area.  Those poor people who deserve all the help they can get and they get a visit from Prime Minister and his mates today and they shovel not one spade full to help.  The strange thing that Nelson is which they are crying for over the last 7 or 8 years about having their own weather station to report on the weather coming over the Tasman which effects their area tucked in under the hills and mountains which our dancing TV weather forecasters somehow seem to be blind too and so they don’t report the conditions accurately which in this day and age, someone based on the Moon could do a better job by just looking out their window or even just asking a local farmers.  But our weather forecasters are obsessed with lots of pictures of colour and confusion and then follow that up with a word salad and hand gesturing as they dance across the screen completely distracting the viewers attention, all though the TV3 service appears to be a little more to the point and they try to prove that a picture is worth a thousand words while TV1 does all it can to distract with crazy gesturing and word salads while we are still trying to understand the vagaries of the pictures being presented.  This failure of forecasting is not the problem with our weather or the horrendous damage caused by the rain which was in fact forecast should anyone have happened to think and of course just fix up all the neglected infrastructure which is required to deal with the issues that are exacerbated by long periods of torrential rain.  So after a week of end to end news casts on the damage the storm caused the Prime Minister and his men turn up today to view the issues which are just poor local Government decision making by their members failing to maintain clear channels and rivers and their ignoring the damage done by the famers turning their land in pine tree plantations and the loggers leaving all their slash on the plantation floor do be washed into the valleys when these useless trees have not much value in holding the land secure or aiding the in slowing the flow of water off the hills.  Governments for the last twenty or more years have known this is a menace and the logging trucks require roads through the hills which make the hills increasing unstable and of course the trucks damage the highways so we spend countless millions trying to fix the roads for the rest of us.  The Government solutions is to provide the Nelson Council with a further $5 million to build a more effective rain warning system to advise us that the weather in this region will be turning bad-to dangerous so everyone can run away quicker and too hell with the damage that will be caused.  This is now a problem almost to a Tee throughout New Zealand where the Government and the their agencies haven’t got a clue what to do and we are all silly enough to vote for those morons who have no clues as how to read an issue and come up with an intelligent strategy to regulate and enforce to control the causes and also deal with the issues but they go to the weather experts who just wring their hands and claim the problem is Climate Change.  The problem is mostly Government Change of which we don’t have enough of and any satisfactory answer because of the way we select and vote for the people we put in charge and now they are talking about lowering the voting age to bring more children into the political fold and I have to say we desperately need more mature people with proven minds who can take proper views of the matters before us and who can make really essential critical decisions without all the Bullshit.  A weather Station in this situation is about about as useful as tits on a bull and think that throwing money at the weather isn’t very clever.
