LIES, DAMN LIES
The Auckland Police McSkimming child porn debacle just became even more salacious as some of those people began to speak up to levitate themselves above this rather tawdry matter and at the same time dragging in other players to defuse the game. Denial to deflect I guess. Former Police Commissioner speaks up in an interview about the matter and during that interview the claim is made that the matter was 'discussed' with both police ministers in what would have to have been a fairly informal manner, if anything in the world in such a matter at this level could ever be informal. Both of the Police Ministers have been approached and both have denied hearing of the matter in this informal manner which I could not describe as being just a casual off hand chat. Do people at this this level of power have off hand chats when the discussion is of such a salacious nature. And now the matter may be dragged through the Courts and bit by bit the stories will clash and the Judge using all his/her skills as to who is being truthful in an environment where lying is the order of the day so I guess we should resort to torture or truth serums or shall we just put the carpet back for the crowds to walk over it. Where do my sympathies in this matter lie. We have the police who were caught up in the Covid scam and who were and are still trying to disentangle their role in it enforcing what then was unenforceable and even now there are now so many people continuing to ignore the mounting evidence which is becoming clearer by the day that the whole thing was a massive confidence trick and people hate to be exposed as having been deceived. I know, I hate to be made a fool of and it seems this runs deep through a lot of people and this is a cause of much of the tragedies we suffer; the cover ups. The public as far as I know also don’t like being taken for fools and us receiving lies which the News media put out because either they also have been deceived and so they don’t go with their gut and dig until the truth emerges. So now we have proof that we cannot trust the media or the politicians or the police so the question has to be asked and that is, who can we trust to be honest with us about anything. No wonder the Western World is in Turmoil but there is a solution. We have to just do plain old fashioned honesty along with personal integrity and to behave with honesty and respect for others. I know I said some nice things about Chris Luxon recently but with the BrewHaha around his Police Minister and the former Police Commissioner I would have thought more action could be expected. Then the shock I got when we learned that our Government have sent another $15,000,000 to the Ukraine for weapons which is appalling and we should know better than to poke our nose in there. Fifteen million won’t be of any much use and will just be squandered away.
Here’s hoping the NZ cricket team can whip the Windies as a draw in test match cricket is always a little dry but I have to say that the Lads stuck to the game to the last but it showed up in their lack of physical and mental fitness. They just were not up to applying the killer punch and the Windies held their nerve.
The Country is in need of some inspired leadership all around and having people at the top telling lies doesn’t inspire the normal Kiwi beyond the mediocre.
