Respect and Dignity

Just the other day I talked about Jim Bolger having died.  He was a man of peace and lived quietly doing what he could to make our world a better place.  He was at a time when our parliament was the place of discussion and respect for the unspoken rules which bind us together and cause us to form communities, functional caring communities that work towards making the world a better place for all people to live in.  Today I look at our parliament and see people who have been elected and who have no respect for others.  There was once a dress Code and somehow an air of what is acceptable and what was not acceptable which determined boundaries without which cause eruptions to occur when those boundaries are breached.  So we established ways of working together which New Zealand had to struggle with more than most as we have evolved out of two quite different societies who have tried to join together and respect each other as we work towards a cohesive community.  Over the years world events have allowed other groups to join us from all corners of the planet and we allow these groups in to do what we are told to do because they will strengthen our DNA and make us more robust as a Country.  This has caused us to expand our so called horizons and now we have people sitting in our parliament who support communities whose main purpose is to tear apart the fabric of our society by openly supporting the aspirations of aggressively differing communities who over the centuries have proven don’t mix due to very different standards of what we consider to be abhorrent.  We have experimented over the last few hundred years with all types of weird and wonderful beliefs and we have tried to adopt ideas which have been used to control what I can only call highly impoverished peoples.  It appears to be routed in the thoughts of men, mostly males, who use the human body as something to be abused.  We have tried slavery and violence along with music and mysticism and Christianity, Buddhism, Catholicism and what other fake ideas man can make up in their minds to control the hearts of others and today we can add science and education which has crept into every corner of many societies, some of whom have officially introduced re-education which in the Western world we have used media influence and entertainment along with corrupt medical practices to hold down and suppress mankind.

I wonder where all this information and education is leading us towards and see only the corruption of the human soul.  The chance for human decency and respect seems to me to only be available through the adoption of living in accordance with the principles laid down in the Christian Bible which although are over 2,000 years old they appear to be be the only safe and respectful way of us all living with each other without us turning into hateful murdering cannibals and we can only do this by becoming totally honest with each other and learning to speak with each other using a common language and making a common set of principals which we have been granted.  It appears that this is not possible in todays world as some groups bring up their children on school book stories of hate and murder which has lead to an explosion of harm and violence the like of which we haven’t seen since the Middle Ages.  We all have an inherited similar DNA.  Being our road map for our development and buried in there somewhere is a gene which encourages and another which discourages hate and violence.  Incorrectly activating the wrong gene appears to lock it into place and we are not then able to activate the discouraging gene which allows us to learn the lessons and principals of loving and respect.  So we not only now have our Government laced with these dysfunctional choices we have whole societies filled with hate and murder and there is no solution to this short of complete annihilation which is against the very essence of decent human nature.  So who will it be who blinks first.  I’m not sure where I will be but being in the front line does not appear to be where I would naturally find myself in the first instance.
