LOCAL COUNCIL RATES CHARGES

Oh dear, I have to say I watched the telecast of Chris Luxon and his side kick doing the announcement of them making up laws restricting the Rate increases of Local Councils.  For the first time I think I saw and heard Luxon making sense of something which in all the World doesn’t make sense.  So top marks for his performance on this one.  Controlling Rate increases is a bit like placing speed limit suggestion signs on the road sides.  So you have to have police whose job it is to keep us safe and them employed doing traffic control when every car made today almost without exception has a cruising speed far in excess of whatever the so call speed limit suggestions are on the sign on the side of the road.  I assume the speed limits suggestions are just to help the Government raise additional income for them to waste on silly projects, which is exactly what they are trying to stop Local Councils doing so that the local elections will become so boring no one will bother in the future to vote.  That will trickle down into Government elections in due course.  Life is not funny but very funny at the same time as it just ensures that for every action there is always an inverse reaction to come or just waiting in the wings to spring on us.  Of course slowing down the traffic leads to car engines building up muck because the car is not doing what it is created to do so that causes jobs to be made and to that end we have Warrant of Fitness checks for which the timing of them is being extended which will cause the traffic Police more work than they now have pulling people up to check their car just to have look.  Strangely with the police wasting their time on traffic control they could be doing what Trump is doing in the USA.  They could increase lawfulness by trapping and arresting crooks but from what we have seen recently here they can’t even see the odd one or more in their own ranks.  However they are expected to seek out and find them hidden in public view which must be a problem for them as when they receive many complaints and because those complaints may offend someone in the next office they sweep it aside for someone else.  I think a good education in living honestly would be useful in society and then we could close the whole of the police force as the Lefties think they can get away, and if a major crime is committed such as crossing a double yellow or owning a gun has occurred a mere appeal over the radio would suffice and the guilty would hand themselves voluntarily.  Crikey that would never work because we would have to employ Border police to control the streets until the education systems in the schools worked properly teaching children to look out for each other and learn English, maths, music, singing and some basic science and Christianity as to how and why plants grow which are good for human life and will be helpful for us when we reach Heaven.  Of course there will always be the few who will not make it upstairs at the end so we will always have a need in society for the police.  So I do hope they learn to keep their pants on.
