2026 OH HELL, WE’RE JUST NOT READY MATE

Here we are on the brink of 2026. A new year which we are going to fill with all the entrails of 2025. As I like to spend time watching and listening to what is happening in World events so my mind always keeps asking ‘What if?’ And often I don’t know enough or have sufficient depth of vision to decide right from wrong. I recall a time when I proceeded unintelligently with much haste that I missed some of the boundaries because I didn’t stop to listen with both eyes. To this day I still feel the pinch to my conciseness about that time 50 years ago and I also remember becoming elected as Chairman of my local football club, then I found myself sitting in room with a variety of people who I didn’t really know and some who I thought didn’t I want to know. I recall one woman who was a single mother and a member of every protest group in the community. It was also instant dislike yet she offered to do the secretarial minutes etc. Over the first few weeks I found her to be organised, accurate in all her endeavours and with her different views on things she found herself with support for ideas which at first seemed off the beam. As a group with diverse views on everything we grew to become a very well organised outfit and the Club grew substantially because we encompassed a wide range of opinions and where others felt comfortable expressing their ideas. I learned at times what was a bitter lesson in managing leadership. Today I’m watching the rise in the leadership of the Trump era and see mistakes which the World doesn’t or may not forgive. Firstly the USA is very connected to Mexico and perhaps more so to Canada. Mexico was easy because it appears to have buckled, but Canada has been less flexible and Greenland totally inflexible. So firstly Greenland is going to represent a problem if he pushes any harder but his intentions there are commonsense but I can’t say ordinary sense, and common sense is below the level of ordinary sense. In watching the Canadian side of the boarder I see a Prime Minister there who is too much aligned to what could be his peer group who probably are jealous enough to despise him with contemptuous politeness. In today’s World, Canada could easily follow it’s current path and disintegrate due to simple lack of inclusion which will destabilize the whole of the Northern American area. That will create massive issues for the whole of the Western World as England/UK awaits the Royal Assent to kick the English Government into touch and I expect that touch to be more of a mauling and who wins that will dictate standards and decency across the planet until the return of Jesus Christ. The other matter which awaits Mr Trump has been brought up by that unusual man Bernie Sanders who claims that the USA refining industry relies on the Heavy Crude oil from Venezuela which is in an undeclared war with the USA over drugs. This means that Mr Trump must be decisive over Regime Change if the USA energy industry is to survive as it only has available from it’s own resources Light Crude which needs to be refined with heavy Crude which they need and buy from Venezuela. Venezuela in the meantime while trying to maintain suppling huge quantities of drugs to criminals around the World are making friends with anyone who doesn’t like the USA or Mr Trump. So changing the position of Venezuela from making close friends with the enemies of the USA and those Countries who are jealous of the Power the USA has is a very dangerous thing for the Western World if Mr Trump allows the existing Regime to continue. Venezuela is a Mountainous and jungle covered Country making the terrain very hard to conquer and will become a Thorn in the Side of the whole of the Western World if Mr Trump doesn’t sort this soon. Where this leaves all those who have an interest in the USA maintaining their strength as do we, I can’t see us helping out and with Australia being weakened by what must be one of the weakest government ever in any Western Country there is little chance of them backing the USA as they currently are opposing almost every move Mr Trump makes on the World stage. So we are being left in a sorry and dangerous place and with a our own Government only seeing good in all the bad of the World because we have allowed a very sad decline in our own standards we can’t see the wood for the trees because we are chopping them all down at our peril. I think I’ll just get on on with planning the changes needed in the kitchen now that Hazel has made a few good quality decisions as to how this much happen, as my taking over the United Nations looks too hard a challenge considering all the pooftah’s who are involved and who have made the UN completely irrelevant now and beyond saving.
